Camden Passage N1

Camden Passage (not to be confused with Camden Market) lies just beyond Angel Station. One of London’s lesser-known and utterly delightful shopping destinations, this quaint, cobbled street dates from the mid-18th century. Though best known for its Wednesday and Saturday antique markets, Camden Passage buzzes all week with sophisticated shoppers who take refuge from high street blandness in its independent shops.

Best known for:

  • Antique shops and markets
  • Second-hand items
  • Furniture shops

Camden Stables N1

Part street fair, part shopping emporium, part three-ring circus: Stables Market is a heady mix of culture, excitement and stuff. You might want to stop and grab a coffee before venturing into the labyrinth of stalls here, as everyone seems to be in perpetual motion and you will quickly find yourself caught up in the swirling tide of activity. Before you take the plunge, pause for a moment to absorb and appreciate the setting.
